Want What I Have?
Well, I pray that you do and that's why I'm here, to share the Good News of God's wonderful Love for you, His Mercy and His Grace.
Romans 10:9 says if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.
Romans 8:27 tells us that it is HE who searches our hearts. So we must first make a decision in our heart to believe.
God tells us in His Word that without Faith, it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He Is, and that He Is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. You can find this in Hebrews 11:6.
So, how do we come to know God?
First, we have to recognize that we are all sinners. Romans 3:10 and Romans 3:23 tell us that there is none righteous, no not one. For we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.
We must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins. 1 Peter 3:18; Galatians 2:20
Acts 3:19 says to repent and be converted so that your sins will be blotted out when the time of refreshing comes from the Lord.
Accept Jesus as your Saviour; Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28; John 6:37
Okay, so if you really want what I have, just talk to God. Pray this prayer with me, and really mean it with all your heart.
Dear Heavenly Father, In the Name of Your Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. I know I have sinned against You. I repent. Please forgive me and have mercy on me.
Lord, I put my faith in You. I believe You will do exactly what You said You would do for me. From this moment on, I will follow You the best that I know how. Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Grace. Amen.
If you just sincerely prayed this prayer, you were born again! You are now a child of God saved by Grace through faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
Congratulations! You have just made the most important decision you will ever make in your life - and the Bible says the angels in Heaven are rejoicing at this very moment in time! Luke 15:10
Wow! Isn't that awesome? You bet it is!
It's important to know that turning from sin happens after salvation, not before it, and not even the best of us are really not very good at it.
The Greek word translated "repent" means a change in thinking, not a change in our behavior.
When John the Baptist and Peter spoke of repentance, they were telling their Jewish audiences to change their minds about relying upon the law, and to recognize their great need for a Saviour.
We come to Jesus by faith alone asking Him to forgive us for our sins.
Once we're saved, He sends us the Holy Spirit to convict us of our sin and begin the regeneration process.
But before that process has even begun, the Holy Spirit is sealed within us as a deposit, guaranteeing our inheritance. Ephesians 1:13-14
So everyone who sincerely prays the sinner's prayer and trusts in the Lord for forgiveness is saved!
Remember, we're saved because of what we believe, not because of how we behave. We are convicted of our sin and the regeneration process begins the moment we are saved.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 ~
