"Truths To Ponder" Faith... Sees the invisible, Believes the miraculous, Obtains the impossible! News is just old things happening to new people. There has to be a desire to love, a decision to love, a dedication to love, and a dimension of the Spirit in love. A man can have the best intentions to meet his wife's needs, but if he thinks her needs are similar to his own, he will fail miserably. It's important to marry the right person, but it's more important to BE the right person. Just as the sinner's despair of any hope from himself is the first prerequisite of a sound conversion, so the loss of all confidence in himself is the first essential in the believer's growth in grace. Winners make things happen, Losers let things happen. Look for the right characteristics in a mate: Forget about looks, money and social position. Look for someone who has; (1) common beliefs, (2) a similar upbringing (3) and common goals. (2 Corinthians 6:14) Strong women... recognize the challenge and complete the job. They need no credit, but give the glory to God and others. My worse day with God is better than my best day without Him! A daughter is a daughter all of her life. But a son is a son until he takes a wife. Happiness keeps you sweet. Trials keep you strong. Sorrows keep you human. Failures keep you humble. Success keeps you glowing. But only God keep you going! We witness to others by living the life! The greatest healing is going home to heaven! The truth is like a lion; Just turn it loose and it will defend itself. If we don't get happy where we are, we'll never get to where we need to be. Love allows us to trust. If we don't love God, How can we trust that He will see us through? The Bible: When you're down, it'll bring you up. When you're in, it'll get you out. When you're out, it'll bring you in. The way to get help is to know Jesus! If your heart is full of the world, the world is all you will have to nourish you. Be the change you wish to see in the world! The real measure of a man's wealth is what he has invested in eternity. Repentance is to leave the sin that we loved before, And show we are grieved BY DOING IT NO MORE! M arry the right man. O bey the great commission. T rain your children. H onor your parents. E njoy the Christian walk. R equest wisdom from God continually. Real freedom means the least government! The wise enrich - Fools hinder. People do not reject the Bible because it contradicts itself. They reject the Bible because it contradicts them. There are 3 different kinds of people in this world: The wills, the won'ts and the can'ts. The wills accomplish everything. The won'ts oppose everything. And the can'ts fail in everything. I'm too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed! What comes out of the mouth is in the heart! A well trained memory is one that lets you forget everything that isn't worth remembering. Religion is man's idea of God's expectations. The way we think all the time can become more powerful than what we believe, and what we think all the time becomes who we are. Our philosophy in life is to be in love with all we know. And what we've gathered in however many years we've lived is what we have come to believe. We can't change the past, but we can ruin the present by worrying over the future. If you're going through hell ... Keep Going! Give God what's right, not what's left. Give the devil an inch and he'll be a ruler. Manhood begins by submitting to the purposes of God. A hug is a great gift ... one size fits all. It can be given for any occasion and it's easy to exchange. Read the Bible ... it will scare the hell out of you! A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning! We don't change God's message... His message changes us! If we fill our hearts with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, we will have no today to be thankful for. Exercise Daily ... walk with the Lord. God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called. Love is strengthened by working through conflicts together. The best thing parents can do for their children is to love each other. Plan ahead! It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone. We take for granted the very things that we should be giving thanks for. Love... It's the only thing that can be divided without being diminished. Happiness is enhanced by others, but should not depend upon others. For every minute we are angry with someone, we lose 60 seconds of happiness that we can never get back. All too few children can say - "There's No Place Like Home." One Family Begins, One Family Extends, One Family Grieves, One Family Ends. We should always do; whatever we can, for everyone we can, with whatever we have, no matter where we are! Compassion is the heart of knowing what to overlook. The true test of our faith is our behavior. Deuteronomy is the "Book of Romans" of the Old Testament. We should live as though; Christ died yesterday, rose from the grave today, and is coming back tomorrow! No one is better than anyone else, Judge yourselves so YOU won't be judged. Serve The Lord. Seek The Lord. Love The Lord. Fear The Lord. Our attitude is not what someone has done to us, but how we react to what they've done to us. The "Fruit of the Spirit" is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith. (Galatians 5:22) If we create a taste for God in our children, when they are old, nothing else will satisfy them! If we are not seeking the Lord, the devil is seeking us! Some people are like waterless clouds... promising rain but never coming through. Laziness or an idle heart is the devil's workshop. Lord, I believe, but sometimes I am much like Doubting Thomas... please help my unbelief. Remember, even the devil quotes scripture. (Matthew 4:6) Be ye fishers of men... you catch them and He'll clean them! The whole Message of Christ is to love one another, be kind, and speak the truth. Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way; but never forget the blessings that come each day. The one thing we can give and still keep is our word. Love God with all your heart so you will have the persistence to walk in faith during the trials that are sure to come. Temptation exercises our faith and teaches us to pray. The manner that we dish out forgiveness to others, it will be dished back to us in exactly the same way by God. Satan and his demons also believe there is only one true God, but . . . they don't believe IN Him or trust IN Him. (James 2:19) Either the Bible will keep us from sin, or sin will keep us from the Bible. And if we will but let God have His way with us, we may come to that place so that neither the fret or tears of the little things in life, nor the great and heavy trials, can have power to move us from the "peace that passeth understanding," which is declared to be the portion of those who have learned to rest only on God. Love is the greatest force on earth and a prescription for a good life. One of our greatest problems is that we ask God for answers and guidance and then we debate Him over His response. If the love of God is in our hearts, we will show it in our lives. The Bible says that "by this shall all men know us." (John 13:35) Suffering from tooth decay? Brush up on your Bible! We must be "born again" with the Spirit of God to enter into Heaven. The things of earth will soon be past, but all things for Christ are going to last. Faith in God, resulting in good works, will result in a balanced Christian life, as they are essentially inseparable. Salvation is not a result of our good works; good works, however, are a result of our salvation. Therefore, works is not grounds for salvation, but evidence of it. Repenting will change the way you think and make you change your ways. Therefore, it cannot be just a changing of the mind alone. To repent means to feel sorrow, turn around, and follow Jesus. What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us! God can have our money and not our hearts. To give is to gain and be blessed. To keep is to loose and be in want. So, if you need something, give it away. Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you in return. (Luke 6:38) Doctrine is constant, but interpretation changes with understanding. Only By Grace, Only Through Faith, Only From Scripture. Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see. Spiritual Maturity means looking to God for purpose and perspective, not for comfort and convenience. When we are not in the mood to worship God, but we do it anyway, that is a sacrifice of Praise! And see not what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; neither be you of a doubtful mind... Your Father knoweth you have need of these things. But rather seek ye first the Kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Luke 12:15-31) True love cannot be found where it does not truly exist. Nor can it be hidden where it truly does. There is no respect of persons with God; For He shows no partiality. (Romans 2:11) Bad company corrupts good character. (1 Corinthians 15:33) We should always be seeking to know what the Bible says. We should ask ourselves, "Is what I heard consistent with the Word of God?" We are to test everything with God's Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) We are to set our hearts on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:1-2) Sorrowful, but always rejoicing; Poor, yet making many rich; Having nothing, and yet possessing everything. (2 Corinthians 6:10) Most people don't realize that the Bible is full of scientific and historical accuracy, and fulfilled prophecies. Love is the driving force behind the Christian life. The entire law of God is summed up in relation to love. Love is necessary to please God! |
