| "The Will Of God" How we can know what the "Will of God" is for our lives... We need to present ourselves to God - just talk to Him. Tell Him... here's my life, here's my time, here's my resources, here's my future... I dedicate it all to You, Lord. Show me what You want me to do. The Bible says to "be not conformed of this world." In other words, we are to be careful not to let this world squeeze us into it's mold, or pressure us to live for selfish motives. We are to be "transformed by the renewing of our mind". What does that mean? It means we are to fill our minds with the things of God to build ourselves up spiritually. In order to do this, we should study our Bible, find and get involved in a good Bible teaching Church, we can listen to Christian radio while driving in our cars, we can visit Christian websites while on the internet, we can find and hang out with Christian friends, etc., we need to involve ourselves with, and just learn everything we can about following God. The point here is that we must surround ourselves, keep our minds on, and fill our hearts with Godly things! We must make it a way of life by striving to do only what is pleasing to Him. And when He sees that we are really sincere, He will help us with this. God will reveal His Will to us one step at a time if we commit our ways to Him, as we strive to walk by faith, and as we seek to apply everything with the principles of Scripture. We need to run to Him every single day for forgiveness, for guidance - TO FILL UP - to be refreshed! Thank You, Lord... For Your Mercies Are New Every Morning! When in doubt, we should examine our heart and our motives by asking ourselves the following questions: Is what I want to do consistent with the Word of God? Can I confidently ask God to enable me to do this? Do I have the witness of the Spirit? We have to know in our spirit - not go by our feelings. Does this fit who I am as a Child of God? Will this honor God? I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God. Romans 12:1 & 2 |
